I'm passionate about

Personal growth

USER-CENTERED DESIGN

Hello, I'm Ya-Ming Sung. You can call me Rima. With five years of experience as a Product Designer, I have had the privilege of assisting numerous business clients in transforming their ideas into tangible products. These experiences have not only honed my design and research skills but also nurtured my ability to communicate effectively.

I have recently completed a master's in User experience at Arizona State University. Now, I am on the lookout for chances to push my capabilities to the fullest extent in a work environment. My values gravitate towards personal growth, collaborative teamwork, and crafting user-centric design. These fundamental principles shape my aspirations for my next role.

In endless days and nights, as advertisers, we pour our hearts into creating, all to grab the audience's attention in a fleeting moment.

My background is in

Advertising and
Visual Communication

In June 2009, I completed the High School Career Technical Education Program, specializing in advertising. I became proficient with Adobe Creative Cloud suite during those three years (hard to believe Photoshop and Illustrator were still in CS4 back then!). These skills proved invaluable when I pursued visual communication in college. I've always aimed to convey my ideas and concepts to the audience through my work. However, this is how artists communicate; they resonate with like-minded individuals by sharing their own ideas. I aspire to be a designer, creating friendly products based on users' needs.

But, I want to learn more

UX Design and Research

I conducted my first UX research session for designing a storytelling app. Through the data-driven creation of the app, my team won prominent prizes in Taiwan. This experience made me realize the significance of audience interaction with a product. From 2016 to 2017, I worked as a designer, learning the applications of UX methodology and principles while developing products based on concrete data.

Learning UX is an endless journey

New chapter in the U.S.

In Taiwan, my last project involved refining the payment experience through extensive research on user behaviors among Americans and Asians. This prompted my interest in understanding global perspectives on UX. I obtained my Master's in User Experience from Arizona State University in the United States. I was fortunate to intern at Roche during my study abroad journey, a world-leading biotech company, where I'm learning invaluable insights from Field Engineers and Human Factor experts. Embracing UX is a perpetual expedition, and my journey persists.
